  • added a "pages on pebble.pet" section to the homepage; the "more" button at the top now scrolls down to it instead of opening the main menu
  • changes to detailed art view pages:
    • finished main navigation styling
    • download button now shows the file extension (like, "download PNG"), this hopefully helps critters avoid downloading WEBPs
    • added image visual description to the sidebar
    • re-added "jump to comments" button as comments are more likely to be off-screen with the new visual description
    • updated sidebar font sizing for consistency
  • fixes:
    • fixed inline image sizing in the best way i can without using javascript
    • went through older blog posts from 2025 and 2026 and updated the image formatting in them to use current code
    • minor main navigation styling fixes
    • minor large button styling fixes
    • fixed fedi embed scrolling on the homepage
    • fixed double slashes on the homescreen splash adjusting to smaller window sizes before the actual text

  • changed menu button icon back to the alpha 3x3 grid
  • "more" button on the homepage now opens the menu
  • fixed code that hides adult images running before the page has actually loaded (oops)
  • adult images are now hidden by default when javascript is not enabled
  • added a note that javascript needs to be enabled to display adult images
  • minor styling fixes for homepage section buttons
  • updated license from CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 to CC BY-NC 4.0 (no longer requires you to use the same license)

4.0 beta 1

  • i haven't been able to update my site at all while working on this, so i'm releasing it now even though there's still a bunch more that needs to be done. i feel like it's in a good enough state that there shouldn't be too many issues!
  • design
    • rethought space distribution and element sizing
    • corner radiuses of objects now depend on their contents
    • new theme(s), currently just the dark one is finished
    • old themes were removed due to incompatibility, i'll be making new ones
  • site-wide menu and navbar
    • navbar contents dynamically change depending on page
    • menu used for navigation and settings
    • currently features page path, buttons to other pages and the theme menu
    • i'll be adding more functionality later
  • homepage
    • the intro / splash was updated, it no longer takes up the whole page, also has a new slash image!
    • the card layout was simplified and made easier to navigate
    • card size is now determined using fifths instead of thirds for more even space distribution
  • gallery
    • new dynamic layout that adapts to viewport size
    • fun visual effect when hovering over images
    • entries now show dates in addition to the title
    • adult artwork is now hidden by default, there's a toggle to enable it site-wide
    • fixed a chrome / safari specific bug relating to background image transparency
  • small changes
    • better (non-usamerican) date format
    • new page load animation
    • re-unified the blog and stories sections
    • blog posts are now grouped by year
    • dropped liquid on the back-end in favour of nunjucks (i was using an unholy mix before)
    • a lot of code cleanup on the backend

  • the blog section was changed to the writing section which may include fictional stories i write in the future
    • you can switch between viewing all writing, just blog posts or just stories
    • each post now has a tag indicating what type of post it is
  • fixed theme switcher being too tall & clickable while collapsed
  • added a "hidden" accessibility tag to the theme switcher when collapsed, which will prevent it from hijacking keyboard focus when not on screen
  • fixed animation speed of theme switcher and theme switcher menu button not matching

  • visually redesigned all the buttons on this site, they're more tactile now!
    • i really wanted to make buttons that looked tasty
    • most of the clickable elements now have a unified design
    • (webring buttons still need to be updated)
  • added tags to gallery
    • i still haven't figured out double pagination so every tag page has every drawing in that tag, i'll figure it out later
  • gallery navigation got a background so it doesn't look as awful on mobile
  • friend button order on homepage and links section is now randomized
  • reduced article title size site-wide to something more reasonable
  • the adult artwork age verification pop-up now takes up the whole page
  • simplified the look of article contents
  • removed link to bluesky, fuck that fascist shithole

    • fancy new grid layout
    • got rid of the menu bar, the idea is that the homepage should be able to take you to specific pages directly, if not each widget has a "more" button
    • moved external links to their own section
    • restyled links linking to full pages to look more like buttons
    • added recent changelog entries to homepage
  • added fancy image embeds using 11ty opengraph service ( some code borrowed from beeps )
  • changed one of the UI colors to lean more into glassmorphism ( i liked it before everyone started using it ok )
  • moved the blog button above "cool links" in the sidebar
  • increased line spacing a tiny bit
  • increased UI blur
  • updated image style on biid blog post

  • removed gallery & secret project pages
    • the gallery will be back eventually, i just need to Remake It From Scratch
    • i've given up on the secret project unfortunately
  • moved external icon indicator to the left of the "view" button in changelog
    • i'm hoping to add these indicators to all links at some point but it's more difficult than i thought
  • removed my location from the homepage
    • it's still on the about page i just really don't need it front and center
  • rearranged themes in the theme selector
  • consolidated themes into one css file
  • moved css code that's reqired by old things but no longer actively used to its own "legacy" file
  • went through the main css file and removed unused code
  • i originally had more planned for this hence the 2.x version jump but i haven't felt like working on this in a while and there's no reason to further delay pushing the finished changes i did make

  • added an automatic list of contents feature for pages where it's useful
  • disabled hover animations on devices that do not support hover
  • reduced motion setting is now fully respected
  • the main homepage image is now customizable with css
  • this lets me change it with themes
  • each theme's image now varies slightly
  • added an easter egg when clicking on the image with the dark theme enabled
  • removed reliance on special classes for paragraph spacing
  • added some supporting code for the null surgery follow-up blog post
  • replaced pre-formatted asides in blog posts and pages with dynamic float ones using semantic tags

  • theme switcher !!!
  • for now there's a light and dark theme, there will be more in the future
  • defaults to "system" which will switch the theme depending on your system theme
  • preferences saved using local storage (different thing from cookies!!)
  • a lot of the javascript code was borrowed from beeps (with permision, thanks !! <3)
  • updated the dark theme a little bit to look a little cleaner
  • social links removed from sidebar to reduce clutter
  • theme switcher still needs to be added to the homepage

  • completely redesigned the website
  • the new design focuses on being clean, pretty, easy to theme and easy to parse
  • new homepage
  • featuring lots of art of my sona, some of it by cobalt
  • blog
  • i added a blog! the blog page is compiled automatically by 11ty so i can make new blog posts very easily
  • i also added functionality for inline images, 33/66 40/60 and 50/50 column splits, galleries, text boxes - lots of cool stuff that'll make it easy for me to make my blog posts pretty
  • gallery
  • a simple and clean gallery of some of my art
  • it's for personal highlights, i'm not going to be updating it frequently - it mirrors the "highlights" folder i have on itaku
  • i tried using a simple in-page image viewer but javascript is hell so instead it's simple open-image-in-new-tab functionality
  • minor changes
  • the header now gets out of your way when scrolling on mobile
  • rewrote the about me page a little
  • added some light on-load animations
  • the new background is a screenshot from signalis i remade (go play the game)
  • dates on entries are now dynamically formatted to be pretty
  • new font - D-DIN (a free recreation of DIN 1451)
  • i also archived some of the test versions from throughout the development of v2, feel free to have a look at these!

  • fully implemented cool links page!! and a new stamp for this website to go with it :3
  • increased font size of main pages for easier readability, also updated spacing of text elements a bit
  • changed the grey backgrounds to a dark blue
  • added embed code for each page
  • removed projects page and all links to it as i don't currently have enough projects to put there, i'll readd this if it's ever needed
  • fixed content of main pages not being centered
  • removed cool 3D hover animation from all stamps because javascript is extremely buggy and causes GIFs to not play
  • switched to using variables for all colors for easier future updates
