You're floating in an inky black void. Not quite asleep, not quite awake; not quite dead, not quite alive. It's been like this for as long as you can remember. Everything's perfectly quiet, perfectly still. Peaceful.

Suddenly, you jolt awake. Your heart is pounding, your vision blurred, your ears ringing. You feel so cold. Your once quiet mind now racing with thoughts.

"Where am I? What's happening? Who am I? What am I? What is this around me? How did I get here? Where was I before?"

You're in a state of shock, there's not much you can remember. Your body feels so weak. You feel like you're gonna throw up... You start breathing deeply, in, and out, and in, and out. You remember that this should help you calm down.

You struggle to calm down. It doesn't help that you're seemingly stuck in a cold, cramped space. You notice a latch just above and pull on it without thinking. A loud hissing sound fills your ears as somehow even colder air enters the pod. You hear the sound of hydraulics working as the door in front of you slowly opens. You're getting out of here.

The mask on your face is bothering you, you don't want it on you. You grab the tube that's attached to it and pull it away from you with force. As it pulls away from your face the strap that was keeping it in place snaps in half. You feel the tube sliding out of your throat, it's very uncomfortable but you need that thing out, now.
