a drawing for a setting i'm working on

early on i used to draw a lot of scenes like this, i really enjoyed doing it but over time i moved away from it, i think mostly because drawings like this take way longer to make.. i'd like to try to make more stuff like this

working on this also showed me that i need to like, learn the fundamentals of colors and contrast better, it was a struggle to figure out how to color this even with a thumbnail and i feel like i could've done a lot better - still very happy with the result though :3

also i've been sitting on this for a few weeks, i thought about separating my work on this project from my other stuff by posting it elsewhere but ehhh.... it's too much work

pebble 3D

a 3D model of pebble i've been working on as a side project since march of last year! finally done <3 it honestly mostly took me as long as it did because i took long breaks from it, i wasn't actively working on this for a whole year

anyway, needless to say there's a lot that went into this. i was learning a lot of stuff as i went, if i can get around to it i'll try to write a blog post detailing the process of making this. the blender shader this is rendered with is also made by me, i'll probably polish it up and release it on its own as the reason i made it is because i couldn't find a simple toon shader for blender anywhere online.

i was sent this rain world opinion template thing and suggested to fill it out, so i did that over the course of a few days as like, a warmup type thing. i swapped "favorite iterator pairing" for "favorite moment" bc i don't care much about shipping iterators.. here's the empty template if u wanna do this yourself

shortly after the events of the comic, pebble starts coming to terms with her new anatomy, realizing she'd have more luck interacting with some things in a more unusual way..

handhooves + footpaws is a combo i've been thinking about a lot lately it's just so fun i'm sure my fellow apto freaks will understand

(not super happy with the shading here but that's ok i'm learning something new <3)

when u put a disabled neurodivergent critter in a world not made for it it's bound to develop some more unusual ways of coping - i'm sure many of u can relate. anyway, this was my weird little fantasy! it was a lot of fun to work on, and i'm glad i got to share it with u all. i'll be sharing a little behind the scenes blog post about it at a later point <3 be well
